Over the weekend, Earlham experienced one of their first interactions with the Richmond Police Department and its integration to Earlham’s campus with the new alcohol policy. The campus’ security and RPD have joined forces to make the Earlham’s campus a safer place, and in this case, the coalition stumbled upon two licenced gun holders of Earlham College.

After last year’s battle with the Miami Heat in the playoffs, the Indiana Pacers have returned to the NBA’s postseason. Indiana has a die-hard fan base and growing superstars in Paul George, George Hill, and Roy Hibbert. Other outstanding players such as David West and Lance Stephenson have helped the Pacer’s achieve a successful season as well. 

The number of student groups within the Earlham campus is going to be expanding as more students take the initiative of starting groups. The groups hope to address a particular area of interest that for they feel might not have adequately addressed.

Concern for the future location and student satisfaction towards Miller Farm’s experimental agriculture program has recently increased. The administration and students have worked to create a proposal in favor of giving the experimental agriculture program more foundation at Earlham.

I look into the mirror set haphazardly on the drawer. I am wearing a flowing flowery dress.  I am satisfied with what I see, although it is a tad open in the chest area. However, I don’t think much about it because I don’t think it would be much of an issue. I am comfortable with my body. I walk out of my room with the lovely dress. As I am walking in Saga, I spot a couple of my friends. Before I can say much, my friend makes a motion encouraging me to lift up my dress in order to cover myself. Instantly, I became self-conscious, embarrassed with what I am wearing.

 

This video is a recording of the student rally in support of UnitedHere, the Sodexo workers' union attempting to reclaim wages and benefits from Sodexo. The speakers in the video are workers from Earlham's campus who work for Sodexo and are members or supporters of UnitedHere.
